Luis Mauricio's are taking over the Internet

Growing up in SF during the mid ‘70s to early ‘90s, I knew maybe 3 other Luis‘s (tocayo) in my life. As far as Luis Mauricio's there was only me and my pops. I even remember looking in the phonebook each year to see how many of us were listed for the entire city. At the most there were maybe 8 other Mauricio's, but never any other Luis Mauricio's other than my pops. Fast forward to 1999 and I was fortunate enough to have a friend who put me on to computers, the web (now known as the internets), gaming, and even an early version of Google. One of the most important words of advice my friend passed on to me was to register my personal name as a domain. (I think they are called vanity domains now.) Registering luismauricio.com at that time was the best advice ever, because it has always kept me at the top of search engine listings whenever someone would google my name. This was true up until about 2004 when I started to get some competition from Luis Mauricio‘s in Spain and Mexico. I would usually just make some tweaks my homepage or request that my homepage be linked to from other sites and I would take the top spot again. Doing a quick vanity search I've noticed a lot more Luis Mauricio's crowding the results page. The time has come to start pushing the other Luis Mauricio‘s to the bottom. Stay tuned.
